For those who dare enter these pages: welcome and good luck! What you will find here amounts to several years of class transcriptions as I worked out the presence of Number in astrology. Specifically the numbers One through Five. The focus bounces back and forth (or ricochets) between theoretical reflections on the meaning of each number, the exploration of their geometry, and their appearance in the charts of class members. This material is unedited and only loosely organized; headings and subheadings are provided for navigation, but after that you're on your own!
For example: The One deals with Conjunctions, and all forms of unity within the horoscope; the two with the opposition, lunules and other sorts of duality. The Three deals with triangles: all 7 of them, from the "Grand Trine" through the "T-Square" and "Finger of God" to the ever-popular "Obtuse Scalene" (a square + a trine + a quincunx) which is as powerful as the more familiar figures are. Similarly, the Four deals with the Grand Cross, both Mystic Rectangles (sextiles joined by trines or semi-sextiles joined by quincunxes) and all ten trapezoids. The Five represents our first entry into the Minor Aspect group of Quintiles, but also includes an examination of the Quincunx - and takes us into an exploration of the Idea of Man and the Dhyân Buddhas. Many philosophic resources and random examples fill these pages, which are nothing more - nor less - than a record of my own explorations of these deceptively basic ideas.
