I have no wish to expend my energy or yours upon the scandalous, tawdry, or just plain evil
people that walk this earth. The point of looking at charts of great men and women is to catch of
glimpse of their soul, which in itself is worth something - and is worth even more if you happen
to share some astrological factors with them. I offer a few past and present personalities as demonstrations
of my techniques, and in recognition for their contribution to the independent quest.

Famous
Dead People:*
The advantage of looking at dead people is that we know that their story - as a life - is done, and must be complete. It also shows us just what the horoscope is revealing - which is the quality of a Soul, not merely the transient predilections of an ego.
Jung: Jung used astrology in his own practice, and developed the vocabulary of depth psychology with an eye to the structure of the chart - it's only fair to return the favor.
Shankaracarya: A look at a perfect chart; the shining light of modern India, who was the spiritual head of Hinduism for nearly 80 years. A special focus on planetary patterns in His chart, and His degree symbols.
Blavatsky: The lady with a tiger - the remarkable founder of the Theosophical Society, and one of the few real occultists willing to expose themselves to the public.
Emerson:
This now-forgotten giant paved the way for the American "New Age" of independent
spiritual development: his chart is a paradigm of Self-reliance with a capital "S."
Freud: Since we're doing Jung, we might as well do his best friend, mentor, nemesis etc. This section also illustrates some of my chart comparison techniques.
Ginsberg and Whitman: Two bodies, a single soul? You decide.
Wagner: Of all the composers, Richard Wagner is unique (even if you like his music) - he not only composed the music, but he also governed the production of the operas - and even built his own place (Bayreuth) to perform them. A study in the various phases of creativity from conception to fulfillment.
Famous
Living People*
The advantage of looking a living person's horoscope is one of instant gratification - with a little luck and the right timing, we may come into contact with these individuals, and thus compare our understanding to the real thing.
Dalai Lama: The most well-known spiritual leader of our times. Here we can see just how literal the Sabian Symbols can be - especially in the right hands!
Jimmy Carter: The rarest of American leaders: a man with a conscience, a heart, and the vision to do something for the world.
Shankaracarya (Current): Another case of astro-twins - he shares a birthdate with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Coincidence?
Personal Requests: I ain't saying I will, and I ain't saying I won't.
